I am Ukrainian

The works in this collection have received positive reviews in the academic community because they are a part of who I am. 

And I am Ukrainian. 

My will to create and do intellectual work grew in the fertile soil of independent Ukraine. My Ukrainian heritage is the strength of my mind, my words, and my deeds. All children of Ukraine can connect with this strength physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. Ukraine will always be a part of us. Ukraine will live in us. Ukraine will prosper through us. Wherever Ukrainians put down their roots, they will always be able to make their own unique contributions to the political, scientific and cultural development of the independent Ukraine.

I long for the sovereign, diverse, multilingual Ukraine where I grew up. Its scientific world was receptive to new ideas and open to different opinions. It allowed an open and equal exchange of ideas. This is my memory of Ukraine, when I participated in numerous conferences there. 

In the near future, I would like to witness the moment when I will add a long-awaited chapter to this book: Ukraine as part of the European Union.
